First clue for 2011

O.k. Not so much a clue as the exact coordinates. Feel free to check it out any time before the pass closes for winter or as soon as it opens next spring. Check before you go. Hopefully full of cool things next year. See you in the mountains!!!

Getting closer

I'm ready to let you all know a portion of the way. I feel pretty safe in that. Don't forget to work together. Be on the lookout for your piece of the map. One section burned so I had to recreate from memory. Looks better than the original.

To help you on the journey

I'm making a map to guide you to the supplies. To throw the others off the trail we won't give anyone the whole map. You have to work together.

Be on the lookout for your part of the map... You might find it anywhere at anytime.

Dot found one...

Start at This Location

38° 32' 4" N
119° 49' 12" W

Somewhere in these rocky hills
is the treasure we hid. But first we salvage the supplies to sustain
us. That will also give us time to make sure no one has tracked us on
our recovery mission.
Stay strong and stay tuned.

We Found Something Incredible!

We found something incredible in the mountains but had to hide it before they found us. Running through the hills back to camp, dodging unidentified flying objects, I had a hard time keeping track of the landmarks. I remembered enough bits and pieces when the chase had ended to sketch a few reminders of where we had been. We would have to return later, once they had stopped searching every hill and shrub and rock for us. We knew that to survive in these hills long enough to retrace our steps we would need some supplies. We buried those too, on the opposite side of the mountain and kept a journal of clues to find them again.
We will need some help to find them. Leaving all the clues or a map for you to find is too dangerous, so this is the first of many. Use them well and keep them safe so that no one has all the clues at once until you are ready to go on the journey. Let some time go by before you venture out. We suggest you wait until the snow begins to thaw in the east before you even attempt to head up the mountain. You don't want to get caught in a storm. We will see you on the mountain next spring.
